y pit… He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.”

✍️ Devotion

Paul’s Damascus encounter is the living fulfillment of God’s promises in the Psalms and Prophets. David prayed for a pure heart, Ezekiel foresaw a new spirit, Isaiah declared a new thing, and the psalmist sang of being lifted from the pit. In Paul, all these threads converge: the persecutor becomes the preacher, the old heart becomes new, the wasteland becomes a way. Transformation is not gradual when God intervenes — it is radical, immediate, and undeniable.
🙏 Prayer

Lord, You are the God of new beginnings. Just as You struck Saul with light and gave him a new heart, strike us with Your presence and renew our spirit. Lift us from the pit, set us on solid ground, and put a new song in our mouths. May our lives testify to Your power to transform, and may our voices echo Paul’s, declaring the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. Amen.

Holy Holy Holy. We welcome you to The Daily Redemption publication for November 15, 2025. Today’s bulletin is titled: Transformation on the Road to Damascus.

Acts 9:3–4 tells us, “As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?’” This moment marks the radical turning point in Paul’s life.

2 Corinthians 5:17 declares, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Paul’s life embodies this truth — the persecutor became the preacher.

Galatians 1:23–24 says, “They only heard the report: ‘The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.’ And they praised God because of me.” Transformation leads to testimony, and testimony leads to praise.

Philippians 3:7–8 reminds us, “But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ…” Paul’s transformation was not just about a new mission, but a new value system — Christ above all.

The Old Testament anticipated this moment. Psalm 51:10 prays, “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Ezekiel 36:26 promises, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.” Isaiah 43:19 declares, “See, I am doing a new thing!” And Psalm 40:2–3 sings, “He lifted me out of the slimy pit… He put a new song in my mouth.” Paul’s Damascus encounter is the living fulfillment of these promises.

Devotion: Paul’s Damascus moment reminds us that transformation is not gradual when God intervenes — it is radical, immediate, and undeniable. His story is proof that no past is too heavy for God to redeem, and no heart too hardened for Christ to soften. Transformation is not about polishing the old self; it is about becoming a new creation entirely.

Lyrics provided by Zeb of Virginia Beach Church from his song “Your Redemptive Love”
lord i struggled and i fought
i fought with all of my might

to hold to my darkness and
eschew your holy light
for such was the inner nature of
this stubborn man so gruff
but thrn you overcame my
rebellious heart with your redemptive love

i have been redeemed in you
from a life of death and lies
now i am living true
oh the wonderous things yo do
i have been redeemed in you

Prayer: Lord, You are the God of new beginnings. Amen.
