How Are Trees Like Our Lungs? God Created Both. Breath And Branches. Awe-Inspiring Comparison

Holy Holy Holy. We welcome you to The Daily Redemption publication for November 13, 2025.
Today’s theme is the lung-tree — a living metaphor of breath and rootedness.
“Breath Rooted, Branches Rising” A vision of lungs as trees, Spirit as breath, roots deep in grace, branches lifted in praise.
Scripture Quotes

Genesis 2:7 — “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”

John 15:5 (Jesus) — “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Psalm 1:3 — “That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.”

Job 33:4 — “The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”

🙏 Devotional
As lungs draw in air, so our souls draw in Spirit. As trees root deep and branch wide, so we remain in Christ, bearing fruit that endures. Breath and branch, Spirit and soil — we are sustained by His presence. Let every inhale be grace, every exhale praise.
🙌 Prayer
Lord, root us in Your Word. Fill us with Your Spirit’s breath. Let our lives branch out in fruitfulness. May we inhale grace and exhale praise. Keep us grounded, growing, and alive in You.

Lyrics contributed by Zeb of Virginia Beach Church
from Born To Love Jesus:

if you’re life is in shambles
or just in a state of disarray
and you don’t know your next move
or which one of the cards you should play
if you feel all alone
and not quite at ease
just listen and hear
his sweet voice on the breeze
his love in the flowers
and in every rustling of leaves on the trees

because we were born to Love Jesus

As you step into today, remember the lung-tree — every breath is a gift, every branch a testimony. Stay rooted, stay fruitful, stay alive in Him.
