Devotional
Encourage your spirit with Psalm 30:5: “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” The night is real, but it is not final. God’s promise is that joy will rise with the dawn. Hold fast—His presence is near, His victory is sure, and His glory outweighs every tear.
lyrics from Zeb of Virginia Beach Church –
from his song “When Ya Got A Friend In Jesus”
Don’t it make you wanna sing
Don’t it brighten everything
Don’t it fill ya full of joy
When ya got a friend in Jesus
Dontcha know we got a friend
and a joy that never ends
Hallelujah we got a friend in Jesus
from his song “Your Very Best Gift To God”
your best gift to God is to be happy
your best gift to God is to spread the vibes
your best gift to God is to get on top of the world
and to shout with all your might you love your life
your best gift to God is to be joyful
your best gift to God is to be free
your best gift to God is to say I love you
and thank you dear Jesus for loving me
from his song “All I Wanna Do Is Cry Cry Cry”
All I wanna do is cry cry cry
big teardrops of joy and happiness falling from my eyes
I called on God and His Love is my prize
All I wanna do is cry cry cry
these big teardrops of joy and happiness in my eyes
prayer:
Lord, strengthen us in the night seasons. Anchor our hope in Your promise of joy. Teach us to wait with faith, knowing that morning is near and when the night feels endless, remind us that Your joy is already on the horizon. Amen.
