Colossians 3:1–2 — “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
Luke 12:33–34 — “Sell your possessions and give to the poor… For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Psalm 119:14 — “I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.”
Devotional Core:
Jesus didn’t say, “Don’t have treasures.” He said, “Store them in heaven.”
Earthly wealth fades. Relationships shift. Reputation crumbles.
But what you invest in eternity—love, generosity, obedience, worship—never decays.
And here’s the mystery: your heart follows your treasure.
Not the other way around.
So if your heart feels distant from God, ask: Where am I spending my time, money, energy, and hope?
Because wherever you’re investing, that’s where your heart is being pulled.
Storing treasure in heaven isn’t about giving up everything—it’s about aligning everything with what lasts.
lyrics by Zeb of Virginia Beach Church
from his song “Lion Of Judah”
When He returns In ferocious love
to set things right and restore the peace of the dove
When he lies down along with the lamb
Lion of Judah we call to you
In these times of tribulation
You see us through
So all will know He is the great I Am
Lion Of Judah King of All Kings Our Living Reward
from his song “Blessed Blessed Blessed”
Blessed Blessed Blessed
centered in the heart of the Lord
Blessed Blessed Blessed
your precious love is our reward
Blessed Blessed Blessed
You died to set us free
Blessed Blessed Blessed
how could such a blessing be?
undeserved like no other grace from heaven
Holy Son of the Holy Father oh Jesus oh Jesus oh Jesus
Prayer:
Lord, show me where I’ve buried my treasure in temporary things.
Help me loosen my grip on what fades—
and pour my life into what echoes in eternity.
Let my generosity, my worship, my quiet faithfulness
be the currency of heaven.
And draw my heart home—where You are.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Visual Direction:
Anonymous figure kneeling at dawn beside a simple wooden chest open on a hilltop—inside: no gold, only a Bible, a loaf of bread, a cup, and a dove flying out. Soft golden light. Back to viewer. No face. Earth tones. Stillness over spectacle.
