Do You Feel The Assurance In The Blood Of Jesus? What Are You Doing Wrong? DRBBB 21 March 26

Holy Holy Holy. We welcome you to The Daily Redemption publication for Friday, March 20, 2026.
Today’s headline is Covered: Resting in the Blood of Jesus.
Intro: Friday, March 20, 2026 — Welcome, friend. Today we rest in the finished work of Christ and receive assurance that His blood—not our effort—is our covering.

Scripture with Commentary

Ephesians 1:7 — “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” I remember when I was following a “New Age Jesus”. So, yes, not Jesus at all.
Someone in our “happy” little clan of misguided souls on the ship of fools headed towards hell told how once they wanted to be a nun and part of the training was to experience the feeling of literally being drenched in the blood
of Jesus. My response? “Ewww that’s creepy” Now? Oh Lord, you have changed me and I praise you. We have all heard the proclamations about the blood of Jesus but do we all understand what it means to us now and… in the future?
Here is an exercise. Optional. Cover yourself in all the guilt and doubt and anger, shortcomings, failures and sin lust and whatever ungodliness you still cling to or can’t escape. The sewage of your soul. Just pile on big healthy dollops, highest viscosity. Soak in it.
NOW…. let His forgiving, embracive, redeeming, peaceful, serene, soothing blood that represents His sacrifice when He died for our salvation DRENCH you. That blood he spilled when God poured Himself out into the world and by which our freedom has been purchased, we are rendered innocent in God’s eyes, purified, restored and renewed, just let it overcome so you can overcome the troubles of the world as He did for us 2000+ years ago but which might as well have been accomplished just this very day. Take your time with this. If you don’t have it invest what time you have in it today and make it part of your routine. It will be the best investment you ever made and there is a bountiful fountain which is ever flowing. The more you use, the more you get. Now tell me what does it mean to have assurance that you have been redeemed in his blood and continue to so be every minute of every day. And tell me again next week.

1 John 1:7 — “The blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

Hebrews 9:14 — “How much more will the blood of Christ… cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!”

Romans 5:9 — “Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!”

Revelation 12:11 — “They triumphed by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”

1 Peter 1:18-19 — “You were redeemed… with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”

Homily
To be “covered in the blood of Jesus” is not a ritual we perform, but a reality we receive. It means trusting that Christ’s sacrifice on the cross—His shed blood—is the full payment for your sin, your cleansing, and your standing before God. There is no “best way” to apply it through human effort. There is only faith: repent, believe, and receive. You don’t earn the covering; you enter it. Assurance comes not from how strongly you feel, but from what God has promised: if you confess and trust, you are cleansed (1 John 1:9). When doubt whispers, “Did I do it right?” answer with truth: “It is finished.” The blood covers not because you prayed perfectly, but because He loved completely. Rest there.
Prayer
Lord, I thank You that Your blood is enough. I repent of my sin and place my full trust in Christ’s finished work. Cover me, cleanse me, keep me. When I feel unworthy, remind me that Your grace is greater. I receive Your forgiveness not by my performance, but by Your promise. Let me live in the freedom and assurance of being Yours. Amen.
