Premise:
John, one of Jesus’ twelve disciples, has miraculously lived for over two millennia. This sitcom follows his comedic and often surreal adventures as he navigates the ever-changing world while maintaining his faith and spreading the Gospel. The comedy is in John’s ways of expressing his bemusement at the sinful nature of man that gets worse and better and worse because of spiritual warfare with the Devil and because of the complicity of human nature with the devil’s ways. So it is a historical, adventure with hints of wry comedy never making John look foolish.
Main Characters:
John: The eternally youthful and wise Apostle, trying to blend in with each era while maintaining his divine purpose.
Gabriel: John’s angelic assistant, providing divine guidance and comic relief throughout the ages.
Peter: John’s impulsive and outspoken former Apostle buddy, appearing as a ghost or in visions to offer advice and commentary.
Historical Figures: A revolving cast of famous people from each era who encounter John, leading to humorous and enlightening interactions.
