Run With Endurance – Persevere In Faith – The Daily Redemption Bible Bulletin 3 Jan 26

Run With Endurance

Hebrews 12:1 (NIV) — “Let us throw off everything that hinders… and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

Galatians 6:9 (NIV) — “Let us not become weary in doing good.”

Isaiah 40:31 (NIV) — “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”

1 Corinthians 9:24 (NIV) — “Run in such a way as to get the prize.”

Philippians 3:13–14 (NIV) — “Forgetting what is behind… I press on toward the goal.”

Proverbs 4:25–26 (NIV) — “Let your eyes look straight ahead.”

The Christian life is not a sprint driven by emotion, but a race sustained by hope and steady trust in God. He does not ask us to run perfectly, only faithfully, continuing forward through both strong days and tired ones. Some seasons feel light and full of energy, while others feel heavy and slow, yet endurance is formed when we choose not to quit. Faithfulness matters more than speed, and perseverance is never overlooked by the Lord. As we fix our eyes ahead and place our hope in Him, God renews our strength and gently carries us forward—step by faithful step—toward the prize He has already prepared.

lyrics by Zeb of Virginia Beach Church
from his song “With Every Step And Every Breath”

as we walk this twisted treacherous land
and slowly move from birth to death
Jesus walks beside us
with every step and every breath

as we navigate this tumultuous life
with our sins and our regrets
we hold on tight to Jesus
with every step and every breath

Dear Jesus give us wisdom
Blessed Jesus give us strength
Jesus help us follow you
with every step and every breath

with every step and every breath
with every step and every breath
Lord be with us always (changed)
with every step and every breath

someday we’ll be in heaven
but we ain’t got there yet
so let’s stay centered in Jesus
with every step and every breath

Lord, help me run this race with endurance. Strengthen me when I am tired and keep my eyes fixed on You. Lead me forward, step by faithful step. Amen.

“Run With Endurance”
(~1 min 20 sec – No Director’s Cues)

MALIK, early 40s, walks a city sidewalk at dawn—shoulders slumped, coffee in hand.
He’s been volunteering at the shelter for three years. Some days, it feels like nothing changes.

Voice, tired:
“I used to think faith was fire. Now it just feels like… showing up.”

Then Hebrews 12:1 echoes in his mind:
“Let us throw off everything that hinders… and run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

He’s not running fast.
But he’s still running.

He remembers Galatians 6:9:
“Let us not become weary in doing good.”

So he keeps going.
Serves breakfast. Listens to a teen’s story. Carries groceries for Ms. Ruth.

At noon, exhausted, he sits on a bench.
Looks up. Reads Isaiah 40:31 on his phone:
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”

He closes his eyes.
Not for energy. For trust.

Plays a line from a song he heard in church—exact lyric:
“Jesus walks beside us with every step and every breath.”

But his true anchor? Philippians 3:14:
“I press on toward the goal.”

Not because he’s strong.
But because his prize is sure.

Final voice, quiet resolve:
“I don’t need wings. I just need Him—step by step.”
