When Bad Things Are Being Done By Good People – Possession? Unbelief? Some Other Driving Factor?

We all want to think that we’re good people. We don’t want to think that we’re capable of doing bad things. But the truth is, we all have the potential to do both good and bad. When bad things are being done by good people, what is it that drives them to do such things? Is it possession? Unbelief? Some other driving factor? Read on to find out more about this topic and how you can better understand it.

What Drives Good People To Do Bad?

It’s easy to think that good people doing bad things is something that only happens in the movies. But the truth is, it happens every day. There are a number of factors that can drive good people to do bad things.

One factor is possession. When someone is possessed by a demon or an evil spirit, they are no longer in control of their own actions. They may do things that they would never normally do, such as hurt other people or commit crimes.

Another factor is unbelief. When people don’t believe in God or a higher power, they may feel like they can do whatever they want without consequences. This can lead them to do things that are harmful to others or themselves.

There are many other factors that can drive good people to do bad things. It could be a mental illness, stress, peer pressure, or something else entirely. Whatever the reason, it’s important to remember that everyone has the potential to do both good and bad deeds.

The story of Judas Iscariot

The story of Judas Iscariot is a story of betrayal. Judas was one of Jesus’ twelve disciples and he betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. Judas was the one who led the soldiers to Jesus so that they could arrest him. Judas felt remorse for what he had done and later hanged himself.

The story of Ananias and Sapphira

The story of Ananias and Sapphira is a cautionary tale from the Bible. In this story, a married couple tries to deceive the apostles by holding back part of the money they received for selling some property. When Peter confronted them about their deception, they both died instantly.

The driving factor that led Ananias and Sapphira to lie was most likely unbelief. Unbelief in what? It could have been unbelief in God’s goodness, believing that He would not bless them if they were completely honest. It could have been unbelief in the power of the Holy Spirit to work through them, leading them to think they had to “help” God by withholding some of the proceeds. It could have been unbelief in the sufficiency of Christ’s sacrifice, causing them to believe that they needed to add their own works (in this case, giving all of their money) in order to be right with God. Whatever the specific unbelief was, it led them to lie about how much money they had given, and ultimately resulted in their deaths.

This story teaches us that it is very important to be truthful and honest in our dealings with others. Even if we think we are doing something good, if we are not completely honest about it, it can have dire consequences.

History of Possession

When it comes to the topic of possession, there is a lot of debate surrounding what exactly it is and how it works. Many people believe that possession is a state where an evil spirit takes control of a person’s body in order to cause harm or chaos, while others believe that it is simply a case of mental illness. Whatever the case may be, there is no denying that possession is a very real phenomenon that has been documented throughout history.

One of the earliest recorded cases of possession dates back to ancient Mesopotamia. In this instance, a woman named Allatu was said to have been possessed by the demon Pazuzu. Allatu would often go into trances and make animal noises, as well as exhibiting other strange behaviors. The exorcism of Allatu was said to have been performed by none other than King Sargon of Akkad, who is considered to be one of the most famous exorcists in history.

Possession continued to be documented throughout the years, with some notable cases occurring during the medieval period. One such case was that of Sister Jeanne des Anges, a nun who claimed to have been possessed by demons. Jeanne reported seeing monsters and feeling like she was being burned alive from within her own body. After undergoing numerous exorcisms, Jeanne was eventually released from her demonic possessions.

Possession or unbelief?

It’s a question we all face at one point or another: when bad things are being done by good people, what is the driving factor? Is it possession? Unbelief? Some other force entirely?

There’s no easy answer, and often times it depends on the situation. But one thing is for sure: when someone is doing something bad, there is always some underlying reason.

Possession is a common explanation for why people do evil deeds. In many cases, it’s simply because they’ve been taken over by an outside force – be it a demon, an evil spirit, or something else. This can happen to anyone, even people who are otherwise good.

Unbelief is another possibility. People who don’t believe in anything – whether it be God, karma, or the basic goodness of humanity – are more likely to do bad things. Without a belief in something bigger than themselves, they’re more likely to act out of self-interest and selfishness.

And then there are those who are driven by some other force entirely. Maybe they’re mentally ill or have a personality disorder that causes them to act out in destructive ways. Or maybe they’re just plain evil – there’s no real explanation for their actions other than the fact that they enjoy causing harm.

No matter what the reason, it’s important to remember that everyone has their own motivations and reasons for their actions. There’s no one-size-fits-all

Some other driving factor?

There are a few other possibilities. Maybe they simply don’t believe that what they’re doing is wrong. Maybe they’ve convinced themselves that their actions are justifiable, even if others would see them as barbaric or horrific or even just,  plain and simply, mean.
