Holy Holy Holy. We welcome you to The Daily Redemption publication for December 3, 2025. Today’s headline: Forgiveness as Warfare: Mercy Wins the Battle.
📖 Scripture
Romans 12:21 — Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Matthew 5:44 — Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Colossians 3:13 — Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Micah 6:8 — Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God.
📜 Condensed Devotional
Forgiveness is not retreat. It is the strike that disarms the enemy. Mercy is not weakness. It is the weapon that wins the war. The world teaches us to fight with retaliation, but Christ teaches us to fight with grace. This is the paradox of the Kingdom: the battlefield is won not by force, but by surrender to God’s mercy.
Today, let forgiveness be your warfare. Let mercy be your shield. In every conflict, choose the paradox that ends debate: grace as victory.
Lyrics from Zeb of Virginia Beach Church and theholygospel.net
from his song I Just Wanna Forgive
Because unforgiveness is a sin
And I want all my sin washed clean
And I want to glorify you Lord
By forgiving those who are still haunting me
I just need your grace to reign over me
And fill those things I lack
I just want to forgive
I just want to be free
I just want to forgive
Find Your peace inside of me
Therein lies all victory.
from his song I’m Comin’ Home To Lord Jesus
I repent. I’ve turned around.
No more walkin’ on rocky ground
I offer forgiveness in your holy name.
No longer lost, in Your Name I am found
Victory is mine. I will never be the same
because I’m Comin’ Home To Lord Jesus
🙏 Prayer
Lord, arm us with forgiveness and shield us with mercy. Let grace be our victory. Amen.

story that shares the image:
The room is dimly lit, cluttered with books and papers. 30s, dressed in simple, worn clothes, sits hunched over a worn Bible. Her face is etched with a profound weariness. The air feels heavy, almost oppressive.
Whispering to herself
How long? How much longer can I fight this? Every day, the same battle. The whispers, the doubts, the gnawing fear… it never ceases.
She closes the Bible with a soft thud, her gaze drifting to the window, where the city lights offer little comfort. A sigh escapes her lips.
I’ve tried everything the scriptures suggest – prayer, fasting, constant vigilance. Yet, victory remains elusive. It feels like I’m locked in a stalemate, slowly being worn down. There must be something more, some vital truth I’m missing. She picks up the Bible again, flipping through its pages, her finger tracing lines of text. Her brow furrows in concentration. She pauses at a passage, her eyes widening slightly.
“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Matthew 544 Love… enemies? Pray for them? That feels… impossible. After all they’ve done, all they’ve inflicted…
A flicker of understanding, fragile but persistent, crosses her face. She looks up, a newfound solemnity in her eyes.
The teachings of Jesus… He spoke not of brute force, but of a power that disarms, a strength found in surrender. Forgiveness. Not as a sign of weakness, but as the ultimate weapon against the darkness. It’s not about defeating them; it’s about overcoming the hold they have over me, by releasing them. By letting go of the bitterness, the resentment… that’s where the true victory lies. That’s the key.She looks back down at the Bible, a sense of quiet determination settling upon her.
Forgiveness. Not just for them, but for myself. To break the chains that bind me. This is the path. This is the battleground.
This is where the war is truly won.
