Zeb Presents Songs Of Daily Redemption – Part 2 (Gospel Train)

Humbly tendered, this isn’t just music.
It’s worship

  • forged in Scripture,
  • tested in sorrow and pain,
  • offered in surrender,
  • born of the best of the Lord that is within me,
  • affirmed in growth and joy and
  • confirmed in you.

01 Bright Day
Not referencing Jesus. So more of a secular uplifting inspirational tune. A resurrection from a 2014 garageband recording. Featuring Alex Krauth on vocals
and resurrected with Moises app. Musically features a strong breakaway from the persistent progression into something liberating.
02 All In For Jesus
Part of the Moises resurrection here was a speeding up of tempo, additional guitars, ended up being a unique hybrid sounding jazzy with reggae aspects.
The Holy Spirit always had free access to my songwriting even when I was not yet saved which is when I wrote this song proclaiming what would be later
true in me but wasn’t true at the time. Original recording sounded dead, even flat on the vocals but Moises gave it new life.
03 Gotta Stop Worryin’
A punk rock, heavily inspired by Ramones, ditty with witty lyrics. Again on this older song (2005 or so) it does not mention Jesus because I had not come home to Him yet.
Original recording engineered by Ian Flemming (nope not that one). Another great job by Alex on background vocals.
04 Teardrops Of Joy
Another upbeat, uptempo, fun tune proclaiming salvation when I was still not quite there. It’s almost like it was prophesy of my personal spiritual future and admiration of the Lord but notquite being in and of in other aspects. Thanks to Moises app once again.
05 Thy Kingdom Come
A brand new one where I seek to align the message from “The Lord’s Prayer” with the multitudes who have been saved and pray as Jesus instructed, integrating them into the lyrics of the song. So in a sense it is both Jesus commandments. First three lines immediately bring the Sting song to mind “Every Step You Take” (the stalker’s anthem) but then it quickly diverges.
Recorded vocals and rhythym guitar on Tascam DX008 and enhanced with Moises and Audacity.
06 Who Walks With You
Recorded at the Dover NH home of Gene Sibley in 2014 or so. A bit weak on theology perhaps but the core message is strong as is the song structure which is somewhat CCR inspired.
Was over recorded and sounded terrible. Amazing resurrection here with Moises. A multitude of background singers Gene invited over. I do not know who they were so they will remain anonymous but appreciated.
07 Born To Love Jesus
But in 2014 or so when I wrote this I was following Marianne Williamson’s take on New Agey Jesus while singing in a rock gospel choir in Dover New Hampshire with a mixture of
believers and non-believers, including one non-Messianic Jewish guy in a yahmulke. I will tell you though, the presence of Jesus smiling on us in between sets in the New England area churches at our Christmas time shows was very heavy in a spiritual sense, warm, pervasive, essential, clearly inviting and truly inescapable. How I and others, including the choir director, failed to be converted is unknown to me except perhaps to say despite my sentiments in the song “my hour had not yet come”. Some of my favorite lyrics are in the last verse of  this one.
08 Gospel Train
Was just messing around, writing as I was playing, all improvised with guitar and harmonica (which fell out in the Moises resurrection somehow) and it really sounded like some
church basement gospel recording from the 1930s or something. Lovely guitars added by Moises.
09 Guided By A Star
One of my Christmas-message songs. Lyrical strength in its simplicity. The lead guitar was done by messing around with multiple tracks on garageband because I had no idea how to
play lead guitar and I still don’t. There is a haunting vibe as well as the spoken bass-voice distant sounding vocal track that gives this one a haunting feeling. Kind of feels like a snowy night in Bethlehem (uh oh I think there is a song to be written with that title)
I was newly turned into a new creature before I wrote this in 2023. My one and only song about the rapture. “Dontcha miss that train when it leaves the station it will be gone gone gone” I got into the bridge. Pretty cool stuff. Someone told me when I played it for them the first time that it sounds like a Jack Jones song but I had never heard it so I am innocent of all charges lol
One of many songs representing this theme found often in Psalms and other prayers especially in the Old Testament. Many AI written versions out there on You Tube. Can never be reminded enough to take time to be mindful of the Lord and give thanks for blessings provided and condemnation lifted.
Fun spirited, encouraging, simply written folk rock tune. I poke fun at the pastor of the church I was attending at the time. He used to cut grass for a living. Figured he would probably still be doing so if he makes it to Heaven. Enjoy when you need a pick-me-up in a cheerful ditty format.
Actually it is “I ain’t perfect but I am saved”. Only Jesus is perfect or lived a perfect sinless life. Bless the Lord. Country-style song that turns around on the listener at the last verse saying they aren’t perfect either.
Clearly meditation piece and, as you might suspect, written during my New Age incarnation but still theologically accurate and manage to be uptempo and meditative at the same time. Spend some time today considering the nature and character of the Lord – the one who never changes.
Celebrating the Trinity. Many new Christians wonder who they are to pray to. I did. This was my attempt to answer the question for myself.
One of my best songs I think. Borrowed the “shine shine shine” thing that I made Alex do from the Lighthouse song which James Brown sings in the Blues Brothers movie. Prior to being saved but was thinking a bit of “This Little Light Of Mine”. I did a good job of chord structure here to give it the driving intensity. Good vocals on this one by me and, of course, Alex. Original recording was decent but it is enhanced by Moises.
I played a rough recording on my phone of this song which is the basis of this recording otherwise resurrected and enhanced with Moises and Audacity for Mel, the worship team leader at my beloved Virginia Beach Church when were considering my joining the worship team. I don’t know what I was thinking. It is the “Passion Of The Christ” in rock music form. Rocks pretty well and I love the “you think that you got stressed/you don’t know how much you’re blessed” and “you say ‘woe woe woe’ my life is so hard/woe woe woe, can’t take it no more/I say there goes a rich man who thinks he’s poor”. That, itself, is a strong message to remember to count your blessings in the Lord every moment of every day and the price and suffering that he paid for us to that it might be that we can be saved.
three chord harder rock song confessing my unconditional love for my cats. The siamese in the video just passed 22 November ’25 so this goes out for her. Maybe some day I will be over the grieving. But thank you Lord for lifting the guilt.
18 Lion Of Judah
As Jesus is referred to in Book of Revelation. I am not sure about this one…. vocals seem strained as they are, there is much more that could be said about the Lion of Judah. I would say that I do a good job of centering the song on a very common chord structure such as used in “Stand By Me” and 1000s of other songs but disguising it well enough to sound like it’s own thing. There may be a redo of this one in the future but maybe you can get something out of it. Sorry to end the current batch on not my best work but felt it should be included out of homage to our saviour who deserves a better song.

BUT WAIT!!! THERE’s NOT MORE BUT THERE WILL BE, GOD WILLING!

My response to Springsteen’s song about Minneapolis…

Brucie, great song dude!
I answered your question though…
MINNEAPOLIS

we fight for justice we fight for truth
but these things are so undefined
we put our necks out for what we belief
and then we leave these things behind
the truth of this world changes
as you move through this parade
until some day you look back
and wonder maybe I should have just prayed
prayed for clarity prayed for vision
to see beyond the mist
of lies that always fill the air
in any witch’s brew like this

chorus:
so Minneapolis becomes the cry
the martyrs get chosen and they die
and people just get played
and still we wonder why
as the fabric is torn and frayed
where is the truth
or is it one big lie?
why must it be like this?
and what’s really going down
in Minneapolis?

all the wars, all the struggle
we step up to the plate
and nobody asks the question
who’s really controlling our fate?
is it the treacherous politicians
or forces still unknown
and through the milleau and the matrix
leave us nothing but alone
so we hold our signs and choose our sides
and we make ourselves feel good
while the only victor that emerges
is the lies and the scars in our neighborhood

repeat chorus

the fabric of society now frayed
and ripped at the seams
and nothing ever gets resolved
it just gets worse it seems
until some righteous day comes
and we pay the price
Dylan asked how to
avoid going through these things twice?
its a price we dare not afford
that the only way to rise above
is to seek out the face of the Lord
and with all we’ve got His love
for the ruler of this world
counts on our foment
and wins until we bask in the light
of the Son the Father sent
so hold on with all your might
and never let each other go
because the answers to these questions
and we will never grow
unless we sacrifice our self righteousness
and maybe then we will know
like what’s really going down in Minneapolis?
and maybe then we will know
like what’s really going down in Minneapolis?
