🙏 Devotion
There are seasons when the heat intensifies — not to destroy, but to define. The fire doesn’t always come with warning, but it always comes with purpose. Today’s scriptures remind us that trials are not detours; they are divine refinements. You are not being punished — you are being prepared. The forge is not your end. It’s your beginning. And Jesus Himself reminds us: “Take heart! I have overcome the world.”
🧎 Prayer
Lord, thank You for the fires that refine and the trials that reveal. Teach me to trust the process, to see Your hand in the heat, and to walk through every flame with faith. Let my life reflect the purity You’re shaping in me. Amen.
Lyrics today from Zeb of Virginia Beach Church:
from Broken No Longer
Praying for him to make me whole.
Torn in pieces God rest my soul.
Not like Humpty Dumpty more like the Colosseum.
Restored and renewed in Jesus I am.
My spirit embittered and soured it was.
Sweetened now and fortified that’s what my Lord does.
Chorus:
Broken no longer I’m growing stronger.
New creature in Christ forever changed.
Broken no longer I’m growing stronger.
By his precious blood in his precious name.
and from Jesus saved my life again,
Jesus saved my life again,
Beyond that I can’t explain,
To heavenly peace from sharpest pain,
Jesus saved my life again.
Our scriptures remind us that the flames we face are not meant to consume, but to clarify. Here is to your transformation in Christ.
