Welcome to today’s Daily Redemption — where we uncover the divine mathematics of Scripture, the Hebrew word “sheba” (שֶׁבַע) meaning both “seven” and “oath,” and how God’s perfect number seals His promises from Genesis to Revelation.
Featured Scripture and Commentary
Psalm 12:6 And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times.
Biblical numerology is about as intense and as certain a proof of the hand of God as anything, including Bibical archaeology provides. So many times you don’t even have to understand the scripture, the numerology is a sheen that glides across the surface level. Let me give you one of my favorite examples: Acts 16:11
“Therefore, sailing from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day came to Neapolis,” The ultimate destination was in Spain.
Here is the “GPS” link between the Bible and history:
The Verse: Describes a “straight course” to the island of Samothrace.
The GPS Line: Drawing that “straight course” line on a globe leads directly to England.
The Mountain: The highest peak on Samothrace is 1,611 meters high (matching the 1611 KJV release).
The KJV Bible original first edition was in 1611.
How is this even possible, even for God? Because God sees the end from the beginning. Jesus is the “Alpha and Omega”
And if this was just one example of a total of one it would be striking but when you realize there are hundreds of these, at least, the proof is in the prophesy.
I have known for some time that 7 is God’s perfect number of completion – Genesis 2 with 7 days etc. But only recently did I discover that the Hebrew word for “seven” means “oath”. The act of creation as in Gen 2 is a covenant. By the way – Genesis 2:2-3 2+2+3=? Exactly!
Here’s a couple more standouts. The thud you hear is your bottom jaw hitting the floor…
Genesis 1:1 Patterns: Proponents such as those featured on www.gods-abcs.com point out that Genesis 1:1 consists of 7 Hebrew non-repeated words with 28 (4X7) letters. The total numerical value (Gematria) of the nouns “God,” “heavens,” and “earth” is 777. Some mathematicians claim the chance of these features occurring by accident in just one verse is 1 in 33 trillion.
The following words appear 77 times in the Bible without any rules being applied to the count except noted: amen, woe and lamb (when capitalized) and “abide” (when lower case)
Other astronomically unlikely appearances of “77” include: Jesus is 77th in the genealogy in Luke, Jesus speaks his signature phrase (“Verily I say unto thee/you…”) exactly 77 times (with adherence to certain rules such as discounting one of the two “verily, verily”s in each instance, The 77th mention of “Jesus” is in the same passage as the 7th mention of “Christ.” and one more… “Know that I am the LORD” appears 77 times!
Let’s look at the number 7 in the Bible…
Joshua 6:15, Psalm 12:6, Psalm 119:164, Proverbs 9:1, Matthew 18:22, Revelation 1:4
CORROBORATING SCRIPTURE
Joshua 6:15, Psalm 12:6, Psalm 119:164, Proverbs 9:1, Matthew 18:22, Revelation 1:4
Joshua 6:15 On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times.
Genesis 2:2–3 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
Psalm 119:164 Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.
Proverbs 9:1 Wisdom has built her house; she has set up its seven pillars.
Matthew 18:22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
Revelation 1:4 John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne.
Revelation 5:1 Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals.
Today’s Message:
In Hebrew, the word “sheba” (שֶׁבַע) means both “seven” and “oath.” This is no coincidence. When God makes a covenant, He seals it with the number of perfection and completion.
Seven appears throughout Scripture as God’s signature:
Creation finished on the 7th day
Jericho’s walls fell after 7 days, 7 priests, 7 trumpets
God’s Word is pure, refined 7 times (Psalm 12:6)
Wisdom stands on 7 pillars (Proverbs 9:1)
Jesus said forgive 70 times 7 (Matthew 18:22)
Revelation contains 7 churches, 7 seals, 7 trumpets, 7 bowls, 7 spirits
One believer shared: “I never noticed the pattern until I studied Hebrew. ‘Sheba’ means seven AND oath. God isn’t just counting—He’s covenanting. Every time I see seven in Scripture, I’m reminded: God has sworn an oath. His promise is complete, perfect, unbreakable.”
This is why seven is the number of divine perfection:
6 is the number of man (created on the 6th day)
7 is God’s number (rest, completion, covenant)
777 is the Trinity’s perfection
666 is the beast’s counterfeit (falling short of perfection)
When you see seven in Scripture, remember: God has sworn an oath. His Word is refined seven times. His plan is complete. His promise stands.
PRAYER FOR WHOMSOEVERS
Lord, open my eyes to see the divine mathematics woven through Your Word. Help me understand that seven isn’t random—it’s Your covenant signature. When I face uncertainty, remind me: You’ve sworn an oath. Your promise is perfect, complete, unbreakable. Let me rest in the perfection of Your plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
