Welcome to The Daily Redemption for Monday, March 2, 2026 — where we stop treating Old Testament stories as ancient history and start seeing ourselves in the dust, doubt, and deliverance of those who walked with God long before us.
Opening worship lyrics by Zeb of Virginia Beach Church
from his song “Our Way To Yahweh”
From Our Way To Yahweh
hallelu-Yahweh x8
we been coming down the rails like a train out of control
we’ve been hurdling towards hell with unrepentant souls
we been missing all the signs separated from the light
we’ve been stranded out alone in the darkness of the night
but now we have come
from Our Way To Yahweh
from Our Way To Yahweh
His holy Son has always been the way
and as our advocate to Him we pray
that we will now and always stay
in Yahweh with Yahweh
we’ve come to the end of the Book And seen our desperate need
For the Savior and His grace who died so we could be free
We tried following the law but just couldn’t break on through
Sometimes like Nehemiah we did a righteous thing or two
:
We heard of Zechariah and Isaiah died for their faith but Elijah never did
Too often we quietly lived our lives and our faith we carefully hid
but now we are
Exodus 3:1–4 Moses was tending the flock… There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire… “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.”
1 Kings 19:9–12 He came to a cave and lodged there… And the word of the Lord came to him: “What are you doing here, Elijah?” … Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains… but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake… but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a gentle whisper.
Jonah 2:1–2 From inside the fish Jonah prayed… “In my distress I called to the Lord, and He answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and You listened to my cry.”
Psalm 73:21–22 When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before You.
Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar…
The Bible isn’t a museum of perfect heroes—it’s a mirror. Moses wasn’t “the lawgiver” when God found him; he was a fugitive hiding in the desert. Elijah wasn’t “the prophet of fire” when he collapsed under the broom tree—he was a man begging to die. Jonah wasn’t “the missionary” when he hit rock bottom—he was a rebel in the belly of despair. These aren’t distant legends. They’re portraits of people just like us—afraid, confused, running, doubting—yet still met by a God who speaks in whispers, answers in depths, and calls the broken by name. So don’t read their stories to admire them. Read them to recognize yourself—and discover that the same God who saw them sees you.
Lord, I’ve kept the Bible at arm’s length, treating it like a textbook instead of a testimony. Show me myself in these pages—not to shame me, but to save me. Let me see my fear in Moses, my burnout in Elijah, my rebellion in Jonah—and then let me see Your voice, Your provision, Your pursuit in every scene. Because if You were faithful then, You’re faithful now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
