But God’s economy defies that logic. The vineyard owner paid everyone the same—not because it was “fair” by human math, but because grace refuses to keep score. True satisfaction in transactions doesn’t come from perfect pricing—it comes from a heart released from the need to win. When you buy with generosity, sell with integrity, and walk away content either way, you’re not just completing a deal. You’re practicing shalom—a foretaste of the world to come where no one exploits and no one is exploited.
Lord, free me from the anxiety of every transaction. Help me buy without suspicion, sell without greed, and walk away content whether I “won” or “lost” by worldly standards. Teach me to value people more than profit, and to trust You—not my bargaining skills—for provision. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
