Today we explore the profound truth that Logos is not just “Word,” but Divine Logic—the mathematical and rational structure of reality itself, revealing a universe built on God’s intelligible mind.

Is the Holy Gospel and the Word of God inherently antithetical to the idea of our reality being based on mathematical code…if you will, I will say it… a simulation? Is the universe and everything in it, created by God, a mathematical formula at its foundational core?
Here is my understanding. It is open to review and discussion with me. I would love it. This space is an invitation to discussion always. God created mathematics. mathematics is the foundation of everything that is real. God created everything but he had to use something so His own creation would make sense. He didn’t use fluffernutters. Computer algorithms are part of the math that God created and they are made of it and bow down to it. The formulas in the computer are said to parallel the human brain which interprets reality.
Let’s consider scripture as listed below. Proverbs 3:19-20 talks about God’s knowledge and his understanding… “by understanding he set the heavens”. God asked Job “Who marked off its dimensions?” in Job 38:4-7. That is math. The DNA code? a. math b. it’s a code.
Maybe the problem that some believers have in embracing the life as a simulation theory is the term which seems to indicate that reality is somehow false, a fraud. What if instead of a code or a simulation we said..Divine Mathematics? In the longest and one of the most clear statements in the Bible of the divinity of Jesus, the first chapter of the gospel of John, the word he uses is “word” but what is the Greek? “Logos”. AI will take this up down below but it means logic, reason.
Genesis 1 says that all was chaos and God went about putting order into it. There is love in mathematics. When 1+1=2 always and forever because God ordained it. That is a relationship. Total affinity, agreement and perfect communication. Praise the Lord who created a universe were 1+1 equals 2. By the way, I am not good at math but I do appreciate it. Especially, in music.

Job 38:4–7 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! … while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?”
Psalm 19:1–4 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.
Jeremiah 10:12 But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.
TODAY’s BIBLICAL DOSE OF REALITY:
God created order, not chaos, and mathematics is its language. The universe is structured like code because it was written by the Ultimate Coder. Logos means “Word,” “Reason,” and “Logic.” If God is Logos, He is the source of all logic, and math is its purest form. Math is not man’s invention but a discovery of God’s mind; solving equations is thinking God’s thoughts after Him.
Proverbs 3:19 says God laid foundations “by wisdom.” Physically, this is mathematical precision. Planetary orbits, DNA, and gravity follow precise formulas. God didn’t use “fluffernutters”; He used geometry and calculus—the syntax of His speech.
If “simulation” means a reality constructed by a higher intelligence, then yes, we are in one. But it is not a fake reality run by aliens; it is a true reality sustained by God. Unlike arbitrary code, God’s code is moral, personal, and purposeful. Our fallen minds filter reality, but the Spirit renews us to see the world as God designed it: ordered and good.
Every snowflake and galaxy testifies to God’s infinite computational power. He didn’t just make things; He calculated them into being. We are not in a matrix; we are living in a Masterpiece, and the Artist is still holding the pen.

Lord, thank You for the order of Your creation. Help me to see the mathematics of Your mind in the stars and my own body. Remind me that I am not an accident, but a calculated, intentional creation of Your love. Let me marvel at the Logos who holds all things together. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
