In Genesis chapter 5, we find the genealogy from Adam to Noah. While it may seem like a mere list of names, there is a Messianic perspective hidden within. This genealogy traces the line from Adam, the first man, to Noah, the righteous one who found favor in the eyes of the Lord. As we read these names, we are reminded of the fallen state of humanity due to sin, but also of God’s plan for redemption.
