All Things Begin Anew With And In Him – Daily Redemption Bible Bulletin – 26 Dec 25

All Things Begin Anew With Him

2 Corinthians 5:17 — “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Isaiah 43:19 — “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
Lamentations 3:23 — “Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
Ezekiel 36:26 — “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.”
Revelation 21:5 — “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’”
Philippians 3:13 — “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.”

A new year doesn’t change us — Jesus does. In Him, new beginnings aren’t tied to calendars but to grace. He takes what is worn out, weighed down, or broken and breathes new life into it. He gives new hearts, new mercies, new strength, and new direction. Today we step into the year not with resolutions powered by willpower, but with renewal powered by Christ. The old has no authority over a life made new in Him.

Song lyrics by Zeb of Virginia Beach Church and theholygospel.net

from his song “My Heart Has Found A New Home”

I was lost but now I’m found
I was blind but now I see
I was walking on rocky ground
but now I’m saved yeah now I’m free
never saw the sun shine before
but now I see the son of the Lord
never saw an angel’s glow
I never believed yet now I know
he reached out for me for oh so long
and now he’s the center of every song
with Jesus oh yes Jesus
my heart has found a new home!

from his song “Grace On My Mind”

Grace on my mind grace in my soul
Jesus reached out and He took control
He set me free from where I’d been
Hello salvation goodbye to sin

Grace on my mind and free at last
new creature am I, I got grace on my mind

was lost in the mirrors with no way out
no honest idea what life was about
deep in dark forest no paths could I see
He shined his light and He set me free

from his song “My Old Fighting Ways”

You have filled me with joy
a new creature I am
in your light I am centered
in your truth I do stand

“Jesus, make this a year of Your newness in me. Renew my heart, reshape my desires, and lead me into the life You are forming.”

Painterly graphic: soft morning light rising over a fresh horizon, gentle golden tones washing over a quiet landscape, a subtle path opening forward, atmosphere hopeful, clean, and full of new‑beginning warmth.

Pre-dawn. RAFAEL, late 30s, sits on his apartment steps, head in hands.
Empty bottles beside him. A crumpled job rejection. A text from his sister: “We miss you.”
He hasn’t missed them—he’s been too numb to care.

Voice, weary:
“I promised myself this year would be different. Again. But I’m still the same.”

He flips open a Bible a friend left him months ago. Lands on Lamentations 3:
“His mercies begin afresh each morning.”

He almost laughs. What mercy? What morning?

But then—he stays.
Kneels right there on the cold concrete.
“I can’t fix myself. But if You’re real… start over with me.”

No lightning. Just a breath. A quiet yes.

Weeks pass.
He doesn’t suddenly “have it all together.”
But he shows up—sober, shaky, trying.
Joins a small group. Calls his sister. Takes a dishwashing job with no shame.

One morning, walking to work, he hears Zeb’s song in his earbuds:
“I was lost but now I’m found… my heart has found a new home.”

He stops. Looks up.
Sunlight spills over rooftops. Birds sing.
For the first time in years, he feels it: not a resolution—but a renewal.

Voice, quiet with wonder:
“It’s not that I changed. It’s that He came in… and made something new where there was only dust.”

Final shot: Rafael places a single flower on his windowsill—simple, alive, facing the light.

Text on screen:
“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Fade to soft golden sunrise over a quiet landscape—clean, hopeful, full of grace.
